It’s one more of Olaf´s brilliant armatures. And it already has Mr Fleas’ personality.
Anne Breymann worked on Mr. Fleas. She did a fur mock-up – very quick and very much to the point. We immediately liked the colour and the look of it – a bit ‘street cat-shabby’, but seemingly a cat in good health.
Mr. Fleas has an extraordinary long tail. He will need it.
We have another character. Mr Fleas. That’s him in an inspirational drawing, singing a duet with the Emerald Fish.
And then Olaf built the armature.
Also done by Gerlinde, this turnaround was the base for Olaf Trenk to start with Kara´s armature concept.
The girl you see to the right side of this page is Kara, our main character. She will be around in the teaser so we need her to become alive. We asked Gerlinde Godelmann to draw whatever poses she liked to get a feel for the character and her ways of acting.
Hello world! Here we will share with you our journey on our new stop motion feature in development. You will hear directly from me and some of our very talented team members. We are not professional bloggers (this being my very first post ever) but filmmakers. So hope you’ll overlook the small snafus and enjoy the content and the pictures.
Kara – that’s our working title – is a part autobiographical, part made-up story that is set in Istanbul. I will give you more insight into the world, characters and the story in my upcoming posts, without giving too much away. For now, let’s get this blog rolling and suffice it to say that it all happened in the summer I got fleas.
